What is the experience of playing these games like? How do they compare to the kinds of video game you are used to playing now?

The games seem very old. You can see how old they are just by looking at the graphics. However, the graphics may to not be the best, but they were still fun games. They play quite well, and if you get used to the graphics, it takes you to another world that feels real. Once you get used to how it looks, you enter that game's world. Nowadays the graphics have improved in many games. However, some games with good graphics aren't that fun. The arcade games are simple and have an easy premise. It's normally, gets to the end of the screen, avoid enemies or score the highest points. Some games nowadays get very complicated and bore me. There have been some really good games made in 2017 which I have really enjoyed. But there are still "pixel art" games made today. Sometimes if they are simple or have a decent plot line, you don't always need beautiful graphics. Some games' graphics are amazing and should be appreciated but if the game is fun, I think it's good.

Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom

This game, in my opinion was very good. You play as Indiana Jones, a well known fictional character and using his known for whip fight enemies to save the enslaved children, much like the film. You have a cause for why you're doing what you're doing and it's fun to use your whip to vanquish enemies.

Personal Console Timeline

This timeline shows that I'm quite a big fan of Nintendo. Nintendo has been a part of my life for quite some time. Mostly because my Dad was very much into Nintendo. My Dad owned the SNES and let my siblings and I play with it. We fell in love and eventually we were bought other nintendo consoles. However, as I got older, I found out about other games and started earning my own money. Eventually, I decided to invest my own money in the games I played, like my PC and Switch console. I think the consoles I've owned show I like handheld consoles, but as I played more, I started to like consoles and home gaming products.

My Bartle's Taxonomy Results

  1. How immersive does it feel when playing the game as opposed to watching it. How into the game am I?

Very gripped. Interested in the story. Very suspenseful. Kind of confused. Kept suspension for most of the time. Interested in the story, connected to the characters. Quite an emotional scene straight away. Very intriguing, get involved into the story very quickly. The game gets you really emotionally invested into in the first few minutes of the game. You get to do some cool things that you wouldn’t be able to do outside of the game. You meet lots of characters along the way which you can connect with and hope to understand. But there’s also a lot of mystery behind the characters.
